Rooted in presence, guided by warmth

I'm Dr. Cheryl Oglesby, a licensed clinical psychologist in Oregon. I work with adults facing fertility treatment, pregnancy loss and the waiting in between, and with the partners who walk beside them.

My approach weaves together attachment-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness, so that sessions are relational and practical. I explain each tool before we try it, and I check the pace with you at the start and end of every session.

I don't believe therapy is about fixing. It is about making room for what you carry, so that you can decide what comes next. My role is to walk beside you with curiosity, warmth and respect for your pace.

  • Room to say it

A place to name what is hard without being steered to a bright side.

  • Curiosity

    Approaching your story with openness.

  • Embodiment

Noticing what the body holds during waiting and loss.

  • Autonomy

You lead. I walk beside you, never ahead.

MY APPROACH

How I work

Sessions are collaborative, relational and paced to you.

  • 01

    Relational foundation

Everything begins with trust. I put a genuine connection before deeper work.

  • 02

    Body awareness

The body is part of waiting and of loss. We learn to notice its signals and use them as guides.

  • 03

    Chosen methods

I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness, choosing what fits you.

  • 04

    Your pace

We build skills you can use between sessions, and you decide when to space them out.
